Tips on increasing your tradeshow booths results revenue

For many companies, tradeshows are the #1 source of leads, new customes, and orders. Each dollar invested really counts. Here are a few tips:

1. Be Prepared. Create a "show theme". Pre-show mailings boost effectiveness. Or send out a mailing with a response hook enticing people to go to the booth. Develop a well thought out promotional campaign. People go to show to learn ...however why not make it fun?

2. Create a "buzz" for your booth. At the booth, have a "mini" event.
Contests, prizes, drawings, free stuff really make a difference. Many booths have a fun theme. One booth had a hourly contest with big prizes to see who could put various puzzles together the fastest. A tried and true approach is a golf putting contest. Or the exhibitor mailed out keys and attendees stopped by the booth to see if their key unlocked the "prize box". Many creative ideas exist to give your booth the "extra edge".

3. Do as much PR for your booth in appropriate media. It dosn't hurt to advertise either!

4. Develop a system to collect information at the booth, and measure results. Many companies offer cool incentives for purchases at (or in a short window) after the show to stimulate results.
